The Cooking Together platform is managed by The awesome Cook-Together-Dinner-Apart Team and Louise Thomsen of, who is committed to respect your privacy and to comply with applicable data protection and privacy laws. Outlined below are the policies we use to protect your privacy and safeguard any information you entrust to us. If you do not agree with any of these policies, do not use the Cooking Together website or provide us with your data.

Personal data

If you register for the Cooking Together online community, we collect your email address and name. If you choose to provide it, we also maintain your address, telephone number, interests, expertise and avatar, as well as any content you create on the platform. Collecting this information has the purpose of creating a vibrant online cooking community based on an open and transparent conversation.  

Your email address is added to our mailing list. This list is used for our communications regarding the Cooking Together community. If you ever decide you do not want these updates, you can request to be removed from the list by editing your preferences using the link within the email, by replying to the email with the request to be removed, or by emailing the request to be removed to

Except as may be expressly provided in this policy, no personal data of a visitor to the Cooking Together website is collected. You request a copy of your personal data that we have on file at any time by writing an email to

Non-personal data

Our servers may automatically recognize the following information: visitors' IP addresses (the number assigned to internet connections), Internet service provider, browser type, computer platform, referring website, date and time of access, and links clicked through. No personal information about you is revealed in this process. Our website may also gather anonymous "traffic data" that does not personally identify you. The purpose of collecting such data is improving the services we offer.


We may use the "cookie" and/or "flash cookie" features of major browser and plug-in applications that allow us to store a small piece of data on your computer about your visit to our website. We do not include any personally identifiable information in these cookies. Cookies help us learn which areas of our website are useful and which areas may need improvement. You can delete cookies whenever you want in your browser. We also use reCAPTCHA solution for preventing spam requests on our public contact forms.

The legal basis for us processing your data is your consent. You may revoke your consent at any time. Doing so will bar us from processing your personal data based on your consent after your withdrawal, but will not impact the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before it was withdrawn.

We never sell your data to anyone. However, we sometimes do cooperate with partner organizations on specific challenges. In such case we require a signed agreement that the data is only used for the purposes specified in this privacy policy.

Removing data from our systems

We only keep your data as long as you maintain an account on the Cooking Together website and subscribe to our mailings.  

You may cancel your account at any time following the simple steps explained here. When cancelling your account, you can choose whether the content you uploaded remains intact, is unpublished, or anonymized. You may also request your data to be removed by writing your request
